I am really fed up with mother f***ing french rain!

Right now, I just remember the Hotel I was 2 weeks ago when I was doing a conference near Faro Portugal.

Look at this picture and tell me if you still want to work in France ?

I am sure you noticed the swimming pool (27°C perfect temperature when it is 37°C outside.

I am busy, I am working, it is raining and I want a tan, a beach, (a girl too), a cocktail and suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun!

In France, even the sun is taking vacation during summer, but I just don't know where...

Really fed up

If you just look at this picture you could think I am coming back from Holland.
But First, I am coming back from Portugal and you could not guess because I am a little bit late to relate my usual travelling experiences.
And second, if you read the title of this article you could easily guess I was in Stockholm.

SO I WAS IN STOCKHOLM! a very nice country were the sun never sleeps, I mean during this season.

I actually experienced long Nordic days at 5AM when I woke up suddenly, thinking my clock did not work because the sun was shining like French noon classical Sun do.

I finally woke up at a usual time (something in between 7AM and 9AM) to go to a conference.
Yes yes and yes I was again showing up at a conference.
But this time it was really boring. I spend all day long staying in the booth of our representative just thinking to myself everybody was in vaccation but me.

Anyway, during evening I walk down the nice streets of Stockholm looking for nice places and nice things to eat because I was starving: only sandwiches were delivered at the conference (what the f***?, 550€ for the conference  registration and only sandwichs ??? for this price I expected at least salmon)

Well, no salmon and no swedish restaurant for me (I don't like waza nor Krisproltz nor Ikea in fact) so I looked for an Irish pub.
Irish pub is a kind of refuge when you don't know what to eat and you don't want to eat McD.

The first thing I noticed after the first trip to Stockholm down town is that Taxis are much more expensive than what I thought. It cost roughly 20€ for 10minutes ride, hopefully I had my AmEx, thank you for the milleage.

The second day I worked hard, nothing to say but that choosing an hotel in the freight area was not the perfect idea to change your mind after a long day.

Anyway, the last day (already) I came back to Stockholm and heard from one of peninsula some songs I knew from the Beastie Boys.
First I thought it was some kind of DJ contest because it was coming from a resort (there is actually a resort with rollercoasters and everything, right in the middle of the city).
But When I heard the identifiable sound of Ad Rock, MCA and Mike D and the scratches from Mix Master Mike I understood Beastie Boys were in Town.

Oh my god that's the Beastie Boys! I have just seen them in Paris and there are right in front of me in Stockholm.

But the problem was actually that they were right in front of me... in front of me but not on the same island!

Oh my god it's a sabotage!

Bullshit, i try to find a bridge to switch from the small island to the peninsula but bridges seems not to be a Swedish invention (try to find a Nobel prize rewarded for his work on bridges).
Nothing, no bridges, even Ikea one. I finally come back on the continent and run into the sound system direction.

However, it was already too late when I finally found the good way and people were walking out the resort wearing BB T-shirts.
A white limousine just pass by close to me, there were here, they were there but I was not.

The next day I came back to France, ready for going to Portugal (yes another conference again)

But I will tell you later

Vincent

And remember, Punk is not Dead (yet) !
